摘要 A multi-stage shift reactor reduces a carbon monoxide content in a hydrogen-rich gas mixture stream flowing through the shift reactor in a flow direction. At least two catalyst carrier bodies have a honeycomb structure with passages through which the gas mixture stream can flow and are disposed in succession along the gas mixture stream flow direction. At least one heat exchanger is disposed between the at least two catalyst carrier bodies. Such a shift reactor is particularly suitable for the highly dynamic carbon monoxide conversion in a mobile fuel cell system. A method for reducing a carbon monoxide content in a hydrogen-rich gas mixture stream is also provided.
