A method of aerial monitoring of forests. The method includes a step of examining a forest from above with a camera capable of capturing a thermal image. The camera has a resolution of at least 460x460 pixels. The purpose of the monitoring is to determine reflective qualities of trees in the forest, such reflective qualities being indicative of moisture content.
