A carton comprising four walls 22, 23, 24, 25 and bottom flaps 40, 41, 42, 43 shaped to interlock with one another when the carton is erected, is provided with a pre-wrap such as a coloured metallic foil or a glossy or lacquered material having a decorative design, the prewrap 12 surrounding the outer surfaces of the walls and overlying the top closure flaps 34, 35, 36, 37 and the bottom flaps, slits 46, 48 being formed in the pre-wrap 12. Portions 54, 56 of the flaps 40, 42 are folded back as shown in Fig. 5 and glued to the adjacent flap 41 or 43 when the blank is folded.
