A coalescence packet comprises a rectangular or square frame (1) made from plastic or metal, an inlet part (2) made from plastic or metal, and an outlet part (3) made from plastic or metal. Fiber packings (4) and a foam breaker material (5) are arranged between the inlet and outlet parts. Fine droplets of the discontinuous phase coalesce on passing through the packings and exit as large drops without very fine particles impairing the coalescence or without short-term blocking of the packings.
