<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide exercise equipment with which training is effectively performed. <P>SOLUTION: In the exercise equipment, an electrocardiographic signal is detected by an electrocardiographic sensor 1 from the start of measurement, a load drive is started (ST4), and heartbeat intervals of the electrocardiographic signals are successively found. Next, heartbeat interval fluctuation PI(n)% is obtained by subtracting an RR interval RR(n+1) of a heartbeat of the present time from an RR interval RR(n) of the heartbeat of the last time, dividing the result with an RR(n), and multiplying the result with 100% (ST5), and entropy is calculated from 128 data of PI (ST6). Then, a minimal point of entropy is found from the change of entropy in the step of gradual load increase (ST8), and the minimal point is defined as anaerobic threshold point (ST7). Then, the load on the exercise equipment is controlled by using the anaerobic threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
