ARC WELDING METHOD FOR GALVANIZED STEEL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc welding method by which the generation of a white powdery zinc oxide on the rear face of a welding zone is prevented, in performing arc welding to a galvanized steel sheet. SOLUTION: A container 1 for feeding cooling gas having its upper face opened is provided by closely being adhered to the rear face of the welding zone of the galvanized steel sheet 4 to be welded. The cooling gas 7 is made to flow through a gas inlet port 2 provided at one side of the container to perform the arc welding at the welding zone while discharging the cooling gas through a gas discharging outlet port 3 provided at the other side.
