PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a spark plug in which efficiency improvement of gap eccentricity correction process and manufacturing yield improvement of spark plugs can be achieved simultaneously. SOLUTION: A spark gap g is formed by applying bending work to an ground electrode W1. A photograph is taken of either of the ground electrode side tip W4 fixed to the ground electrode W1 and the center electrode W3, the center electrode side tip W2 fixed to the center electrode W3 and the ground electrode W1, or the ground electrode side tip W4 fixed to the ground electrode W1 and the center electrode side tip W2 fixed to the center electrode W3. The spark gap distance g is determined based on that photographed image. Then, if the spark gap distance g is within a specified range, correction of the position in the width direction of the ground electrode W4 or correction of the position in the axial line direction of the ground electrode W4 are carried out.
