PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radial vibration preventing mechanism which applies magnetic preload to energize a rotating shaft in the radial direction of the shaft by simple constitution. SOLUTION: In a spindle motor, the rotating shaft on which a rotary part including a rotor is rotatably installed in a bearing housing. The bearing housing is installed on a stator base including a stator. In the rotary part, a magnetism generating body or a magnetic transmitting part for transmitting magnetic force from the magnetism generating body is arranged around the rotating shaft on the stator side. In a bearing part, a nearly circular magnetic attracting body which attracts the magnetism generating body is arranged with facing the magnetism generating body or the magnetic transmitting part with a gap in-between.
