PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens unit in which a lens holder can smoothly perform a focus operation. SOLUTION: The objective lens unit is formed by fitting a shaft hole 2 formed in a lens holder 1 supporting the objective lens OL to a shaft 4 on an actuator base 3 and attaching a cover 9 for covering the lens holder 1 in a state that the holder comes into contact with or comes close to the top surface of the shaft 4 to the actuator base 3. A surface 1A opposite to the actuator base and a surface 1B opposite to the cover of the lens holder 1 are projectjngly provided with projecting parts 14 in a non-contact state. When the respective projecting parts 14 are abutted on the actuator base 3 and the cover 9, prescribed gaps are formed between the lens holder 1 and the actuator base 3 and between the holder and the cover, and the gaps are communicatively connected with a cover space 16 through laterals of the projecting parts 14.
