PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device in which one-side flexible board can be used by adopting a new structure when a light receiving element is mounted on a frame. SOLUTION: In the optical head device, a PD-IC8 and a capacitor 9 are mounted on the same surface of the flexible board 4, the flexible board 4 is bent to the back side, and a reinforcing plate 6 is held between the bent parts. A frame 7 is arranged at the surface side of a region in which the PD-IC8 is mounted on the flexible board 4, the frame 7 and the reinforcing plate 6 are soldered at a part of a through hole of the reinforcing plate 6 and flexible board assembly is constituted, and the back side of the frame 7 is stuck and fixed to a frame 3.
