PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk drive capable of reducing the vibration of a cover while suppressing the increase of cost. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk 3 rotationally driven by a spindle motor 5 and a magnetic head 7 positioned on the magnetic disk 3 moved by positioning means 9, 11 are housed in a casing 1, and the casing 1 is formed of a base 17 in which one face along the surface of the magnetic disk 3 is opened, and a planar cover 19 covering the opened face of the base 17. On a vibration generating part of the cover 19, where vibration is generated by the operation of at least one out of the spindle motor 5 and the positioning means 9, 11, a projecting/recessing part 35 is formed by press work in a ring shape concentric circular with a screw hole 29 on the peripheral section 33 of the screw hole 29 for fastening the cover 19 with a screw 25, and by making the plate thickness of the projecting/recessing part 35 thinner, the rigidity of the peripheral section 33 of the screw hole 29 is arranged to be lower than the rigidity of section other than the peripheral section 33 of the screw hole 29.
