PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical shaft structure wherein the shaft as a drain pipe is connected from the ground to an underground structure such as an existing large diameter sewerage pipe placed in the deep ground, and construction is accurately and efficiently performed, avoiding an obstruction B when there is the obstruction B such as a building in the ground above the underground structure. SOLUTION: This structure is constituted of an upper side vertical shaft part 1 constructed from the ground surface to the depth of lower part of the obstruction B along one side of the obstruction B existing underground, a middle curved line shaft part 2 constructed from the lower end of the upper side vertical shaft part 1 to the direction approaching the underground structure T, and a lower side vertical shaft part 3 constructed from the lower end of the middle curved line shaft part 2 to the depth approaching the vicinity of one side of the underground structure T.
