PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for the greening of a grating crib, in which harmony with a surrounding environment is brought by applying planting to the surface of the grating crib and in which workability on a job site is enhanced by enabling net-like frame materials for holding a vegetation base material by covering the grating crib to be easily installed around the grating crib at prescribed intervals, and the net-like frame material for use in the construction method. SOLUTION: In this construction method for the greening of the grating crib 3, the grating crib 3 to undergo greening is covered with the net-like frame material 1 which is composed of a pair of opposed net-like side frames 2 and a spacer 4 for coupling the side frames 2 together; the vegetation base material 8 is fed between the frame material 1 and the grating crib 3, so that a top surface of the grating crib 3 and both side surfaces thereof can be covered with the base material 8; and the spacer 4 makes the prescribed interval formed between each side surface of the grating crib 3 and the side frame 2 of the frame material 1, when the grating crib 3 is covered with the frame material 1.
