PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To press a corrugated cardboard sheet uniformly in the width direction in a press roll for the sheet and an apparatus for pressing the sheet. SOLUTION: The press roll for the corrugated cardboard sheet presses the sheet 1 which is arranged to face a prescribed roll 11 in a corrugation machine, is stuck on corrugated core paper, and travels between it and the roll 11 to the roll 11 at an appropriate pressure. The press roll is constituted by being provided with a beam-shaped member 21 formed in the width direction of the sheet 1, roll bodies 31 which are arranged at intervals narrower than the thickness of the sheet 1 in the width direction of the sheet 1 to face the roll 11, and roll support members which are fitted to the member 21 movably to the roll 11, are formed individually to the roll bodies 31, and support the roll bodies 31 rotatably.
