PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball lifting device capable of precisely detecting the passage of a pachinko ball lifted and fed in each guide rail groove and preventing false operation or failure of a sensor. SOLUTION: In a ball lifting device 5 for grinding and lifting pachinko balls, a ball passage detector 60 for detecting the passage of pachinko balls lifted and fed in each line of guide rail grooves 37a, is mounted between the terminal part of a guide rail cover 37 and an upper bending gutter 51 bending in the ball discharge direction, and ball pathways 65 are sectioned/formed in a plurality of lines on the internal side of the ball passage detector. A partition wall 66 is made to project toward the terminal part of the guide rail cover 37 in the lower part of the ball passage detector 60 to form a guide-in piece 69. As a result, the passage of pachinko balls lifted and fed in each line of the guide rails 37a can be precisely detected, and false operation or failure of the sensor 62 can be prevented.
