PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interesting game machine equipped with a function which can stop the performance by a mechanical performance reel. SOLUTION: This game machine (1) is equipped with reels (3L, 3C and 3R) which variably display various kinds of patterns, and a performance reel (115) which is separately provided from the reels (3L, 3C and 3R) and displays various kinds of patterns. The game machine (1) is also equipped with a main control circuit (71) which determines an internal winning combination by a random number value being sampled for each game, and stop-controls the variable display motions of the reels (3L, 3C and 3R) based on the determination result and a timing of a stop operation by a game player, and a subsidiary control circuit (72) which determines the performance content of the performance reel (115), and controls the motion of the performance reel (115) based on the determination result. The subsidiary control circuit (72) stops the control for the motion of the performance reel (115) when a specified operation is performed by the game player under the status wherein the motion of the performance reel (115) is controlled, and controls the motion of the performance reel (115) in such a manner that the performance reel (115) displays a specified pattern.
