The clutch system uses a clutch disc mounted inside a clutch housing (20) whereby the interior space of the housing is evacuated at least in part e.g. through a pump driven by an engine (10) and/or is provided with an inert atmosphere through inlet openings (3) and outlet opening (4). Independent claim describes housing element for vehicle clutches which forms an interior space for holding the clutch disc whereby the interior space is sealed in installed state by sealing element and a device is provided for evacuating said space or producing inert atmosphere inside housing element.
