A windscreen wiper drive comprises a four element linkage with a coupling element (27) manufactured of deep drawn metal with pressed pivots (31) each end on the rear of the element. The pressed pivots enclose plastic bearing sleeves (34) secured with a minimum of axial and radial movement and located into pivot holes in the drive arms (22). The plastic sleeve is rolled over at each end to form axial bearings. A packing disc (35) is included in the pressed joint.
