The device has a fuel injection valve (1) with fuel feed pipe (4) to an injection nozzle (5), and a fuel filter (17) in the feed pipe. The filter is located in a widened duct section (15) of the pipe, in the pipe end facing a screw connection (6) of the valve. The filter engages on a stepped ring surface (16) of the wide section. The filter is cup-shaped, and is clamped esp. sealing between the ring surface and the fuel line (2). The filter is an edge or gauze filter.
