PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for fixing a cervical vertebra are provided to fix easily the cervical vertebra by widening a narrow space between damaged cervical vertebraes and maintaining the widened space by means of a member having a space portion. CONSTITUTION: A method for fixing a cervical vertebra includes an inserting process, a fixing process, an implanting process, and a combining process. The inserting process is to insert an interval maintenance member(100) between damaged cervical vertebras. The fixing process is to fix the interval maintenance member(100) between the damaged cervical vertebras by inserting a fixing member(200) into a screw fixing portion(115) of the interval maintenance member(100). The implanting process is to transplant a bone implant to a space portion through a female screw of a front portion of the interval maintenance member(100). The combining process is to combine a cap with a front end of the interval maintenance member(100) to prevent the leakage of the bone implant and a contact between an affected part and a head(220) of the fixing member(200).
