PURPOSE: A damping apparatus of an LPG(Liquefied Petroleum Gas) engine for the generation of backfire is provided to automatically eliminate vacuum in the backfire of the engine, accordingly to improve the durability of an air cleaner, and to easily replace parts of the air cleaner to the breakdown of a clamp part of the air cleaner. CONSTITUTION: An intake structure of an LPG engine comprises an air inlet formed to the side of a lower case of an air cleaner of which an upper case is combined with a connecting part of the lower case by a clamp, and an air outlet formed to the side of the upper case and connected to a surge tank through an air intake hose(13). A shock absorbing device(20) of the LPG engine for the generation of backfire comprises a joint(21) formed into a cylinder shape to connect both ends of the joint to the air intake hose; a through-hole(22) penetrated on an outer peripheral surface of the joint at a predetermined size; and a sliding door(30) for opening and shutting the through-hole to the pressure of suction air and the pressure of mixed air flowing backward.
