PURPOSE: A ternary content addressable memory(CAM) cell is provided to perform a stable operation at a low operation voltage and to reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: The first memory cell stores data, and the first data line pair transfers the above data to/from the above first memory cell. The second memory cell stores mask data. The second data line pair transfers the above mask data to/from the second memory cell. The third data line pair transfers comparison data. A match line is partitioned into the first and the second match line segments(MATCH00,MATCH01). A mask circuit is connected to the first and the second match line segments, and connects the first and the second match line segments selectively in response to the mask data. A detection circuit is connected to the third data line pair and the first memory cell, and detects whether the comparison data coincides with the data stored in the first memory cell. And a match circuit connects the first and the second match line segments electrically when the comparison data coincides with the data stored in the first memory cell.
