DIVERGENCE RATIO VARIABLE BEAM SPLITTER INCLUDING MONITORING FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A divergence ratio variable beam splitter including a checking function is provided to variably control divergence ratio and carry out a remote checking process at an optical path of a passive optical communication network. CONSTITUTION: The first 1x2 beam coupler(20a) has two output lines which selectively is connected with one input port out of a plurality of input ports and input line. A plurality of 2x2 beam couplers(20b,20c) has two input port and two output port which respectively is connected with the output port of the first 1x2 beam coupler and selectively is connected with the input ports. A plurality of second 1x2 beam couplers(20d-20g) corresponds to the output lines of the 2x2 beam couplers. At this time, the divergence ratio of the output port is capable of being variably controlled by selectively breaking the input lines of the 1x2 beam couplers and 2x2 beam couplers.
