PREPARATION METHOD OF POWDER COMPRISING SODIUM SESQUICARBONATE AND LAYERED SILICATE

PURPOSE: A method for preparing the powder comprising sodium sesquicarbonate and layered silicate is provided, to improve crystal structure, particle size and density of sodium sesquicarbonate without using an anionic surfactant or a seed nucleus and to enhance production yield. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of mixing a sodium silicate solution with a sodium bicarbonate solution to prepare a reaction solution; heating the reaction solution to prepare slurry; and drying the slurry to obtain powder. Preferably the ratio of SiO2 : Na2O in sodium silicate is 2.1:1 to 3.8:1; the heating is peformed at a temperature of 100-150 deg.C; and the slurry contains 50-70 % of moisture.
