METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING DATA IN TELEPHONE LINE COMMUNICATION AND CIRCUIT FOR DETECTING CARRIER WAVE

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting data in telephone line communication and a circuit for detecting a carrier wave are provided to efficiently execute data transmission by determining the transmission of data after judging whether the present transport channel is in use. CONSTITUTION: The first station receives signals that exist in a transport channel, and calculates the average power of the received signals(300). Then the first station compares the average power with a threshold power and checks whether the transport channel is empty(320). In case that the transport channel is empty, the first station transmits data(330). Then the first station judges whether collision with other data occurs at the transport channel(340). If collision with other data is not detected, the first station transmits data continuously(350). However, if the transport channel is not empty, the first station operates at the receiving mode(321). Also, if collision with other data is detected, the first station enters a collision solution mode(341).
