Range selector with emergency release for a parking brake

A driver selects operating stages in an automatic gearbox with a controller and electro-hydraulic modulators triggered by a gearbox controller engage these stages. A driver disengages a parking brake in drive position 'P' with a lever that uses a Bowden wire (8) to connect to a disengaging lever (1) fastened on an axle (3) that is made to go forwards or reverse by the electro-hydraulic modulators while engaging and disengaging the parking brake.
