PURPOSE: A system and a method for transmitting a message to a program are provided to offer a mechanism for transmitting an event notification message to one fragment to other fragment in a code. CONSTITUTION: An XML(eXtensible Markup Language) document editor(201) enables a user to create/edit the XML document(202) on a freestyle editing environment. An event generator(250) related to the XML document editor listens that a predetermined state change is generated in the document as a result of a predetermined operation. An automation component(209) performs a subsidiary or automation function on the XML document editor. The automation component includes the code such as an event handler(275) responding to the operation generated in the XML document editing environment.
