PURPOSE: A suction muffler integrated with a head cover of a hermetic compressor is provided to allow the suction muffler to be conveniently manufactured. CONSTITUTION: A suction muffler includes a head cover part(30) coupled to a cylinder together with a valve assembly, and forming a discharge chamber(33); an upper main body(40) formed integrally with the head cover part, and having a structure formed therein to reduce noise of working fluid transmitted to the valve assembly; a lower main body(50) coupled to the upper main body, and having a structure reducing noise of the working fluid just like the upper main body; and a coupling unit including a fixing protrusion(42) and an elastic fixer(52) formed on corresponding locations of the upper main body and the lower main body, respectively, to coupling the upper main body and the lower main body by coupling of the fixing protrusion and the elastic fixer. The head cover part is formed with the same synthetic resins as the upper main body is formed with, and has a suction chamber connected with a suction valve of the valve assembly and the discharge chamber connected with a discharge valve.
