The invention relates to a method of simulating an effect produced by operating conditions of a radiofrequency channel on a signal (TxA) transmitted or received by a transceiver (ER1 or ER2). The method according to the invention includes a digital processing step for applying changes to a digital signal (TxD) representative of said transmitted or received signal (TxA), which changes are predetermined on the basis of expected operating conditions of said radiofrequency channel. The invention allows simulation of a communication carried by a radiofrequency channel without requiring the use of a conventional RF-channel simulator.
