LAMP ASSEMBLY, BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A lamp assembly, a back light assembly and a liquid crystal display having the same are provided to remove dark parts generated on both ends of a lamp by a lamp holder, and improve brightness. CONSTITUTION: A lamp(120) has a first electrode part receiving a first power voltage and a second electrode part receiving a second power voltage for emitting a light in response to the first and second power voltages. A lamp holder(130) contains both ends of the lamp and is made of a transparent or semi-transparent material for emitting the light emitted from both ends of the lamp. A light guide plate(110) guides a path of the light emitted from the lamp and the light emitted via the lamp holder. The light guide plate emits the guide lights. A mold frame contains a lamp assembly and the light guide plate in a containing space defined by a plurality of side walls(176,178). The side walls include protruded members(178b,178b) respectively for preventing the light guide plate from moving towards the lamp.
