PURPOSE: A power-saving type ventilator by using an optical sensor is provided to save power by automatically stopping an operation of the ventilator when ventilation is not needed. CONSTITUTION: A power-saving type ventilator includes a body(11). A selector switch(13) is installed in front of the body so as to allow a user to select various functions. An optical sensor is provided in the body(11) in order to detect light. A transformer is provided so as to supply voltage to the optical sensor. A relay driving circuit is provided as to apply or shield power based on an electric signal generated from the optical sensor. An optical sensor exposing section(15) is formed at the front of the body(11). A pull/down switch(14) is installed in the body(11). A ventilator driving section is provided to rotate fans(12).
