PURPOSE: To provide an indwelling needle which can prevent blood leaking in steps from pricking the needle to connecting a connector to a blood circuit and is improved in safety after removal of the inner needle. CONSTITUTION: A connector 9 with a hemostatic valve 10 is integrally arranged on a cover 7 integrally fixed to the base part 3A side of a catheter 3. One end side of a flexible clamp tube is connected to the cover 7 integrally fixed to the base part 3A side of the catheter 3 and the hemostatic valve 10 is internally mounted to the other end side of the clamp tube. Telescopic pipes 17, 21 equipped with a tube shape safety cover 19 to cover the tip end part 13A of the inner needle 13 upon extending are disposed in a cylindrical inner needle cover 15 fixed with the base end part of the inner needle 13 with the tip end 13A projected from the tip end of the catheter 3.
