PURPOSE: A multi point call method through the reconfiguration of a call path in a network telephone system is provided to directly connect a call path in the case of a point-to-point call and to reconfigure a call path in the case of a multi point call. CONSTITUTION: The first subscriber attempts call connection for the second subscriber to a DNS server(201), the DNS server checks whether the second subscriber can receive a call(202,203). In case that the second subscriber can receive a call, the DNS server establish the path between the two subscribers and configures the call between them using a terminating IP number. At this moment, in case that the third subscriber pages the first subscriber(205), the DNS server asks the first subscriber about a multi point call using an ARS(Automatic Response System)(206,207). If the first subscriber agrees to the multi point call(208), the DNS server confirms whether an available multi point call device exists at a multi point call device server. If there is an avaliable multi point call device, the DNS server receives the IP address(209). The DNS server, receiving the IP address of the available multi point call device, reconfigures the path so that the three subscribers are able to access the IP address(210-212).
