PURPOSE: A method for transceiving pilot signals is provided to minimize loss of transmission power even when reception antennas are fewer than transmission antennas, and to transmit pilot signals to lower a PAPR(Peak to Average Power Ratio), thereby exactly predicting wireless channel environment. CONSTITUTION: A transmission end(410) comprises as follows. A pattern input unit(411) inputs a pilot symbol pattern. Gain amplifiers(412,414) amplify the symbol pattern to two different gains. Diffusers(413,415) multiply different orthogonal diffusing codes by output signals of the gain amplifiers(412,414). An adder(416) adds the output signals. The first scrambler(417) multiplies a scrambling code by an output signal of the adder(413), and transmits the multiplied signal to the first antenna. The second scrambler(418) multiplies a scrambling code by the output signal of the adder(416), and transmits the multiplied signal to the second antenna.
