SPRING STRUCTURE PACKAGE FOR REINFORCEMENT OF OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE: A spring structure package for reinforcement of an optical fiber is provided to obtain the force of resistance against the external pressure and the external shock by inserting a coil spring into the inside of a surface coating layer. CONSTITUTION: A package for protecting an optical fiber using a spring structure includes a binding tube(22), a sleeve structure, and a heat-shrink surface tube(21). The binding tube(22) is wrapped around an outer surface of an optical fiber(25). The sleeve structure is formed with a spiral spring(30). The sleeve structure is wrapped around an outer surface of the binding tube(22). The heat-shrink surface tube(21) is wrapped around an outer surface of the sleeve structure. The binding tube(22) is melted by the heat and the melted binding tube is injected between the optical fiber(25) and the sleeve structure. The heat-shrink surface tube(21) is used for protecting the optical fiber(25) and reinforcing the sleeve structure.
