PURPOSE: An apparatus for dynamically allocating wavelengths and an apparatus for routing optical signals using the same are provided to dynamically change the wavelength of an inputted packet by optically extracting a header from a 40G or larger optical data packet and driving a wavelength corresponding to the bit pattern of the header. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for dynamically allocating wavelengths and an apparatus for routing optical signals using the same are composed of a cell pointer extractor(100), a tag extractor(110), a decoder and optical source driver(120), an optical generator(130), an optical wavelength converter(140), and an NxN AWG(Arrayed Waveguide Grating)(150). The cell pointer extractor(100) extracts a cell pointer from an optical packet. The tag extractor(110) extracts a tag from the optical packet. The decoder and optical source driver(120) changes the extracted tag into an electrical signal, decodes it, and drives an optical source. The optical generator(130) generates lights of various wavelengths. The optical wavelength converter(140) converts the wavelength of a light into a wavelength corresponding to packet and tag information. The NxN AWG(Arrayed Waveguide Grating)(150) selects an output route.
