PURPOSE: A system having a reception holding function of external data during the use of a device and a method therefor are provided to prevent that data of a using terminal are lost by call connection load. CONSTITUTION: Mobile terminals(HP1,HP2) judge whether the mobile terminals are used, and generate a call connection holding signal. BTSs(Base station Transceiver Subsystems)(10A,10B) matched with an object-side mobile communication terminal transmit and receive voices and character information by wireless. Mobile communication relay stations(12A,12B) relay between the BTSs(10A,10B) and a BSC(Base Station Controller)(14). The BSC(14) controls the matching function of the BTSs(10A,10B), hand-off process between the BTSs(10A,10B) and call connection. An MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(16) mutually connects a call between the mobile terminals(HP1,HP2), and transmits voices and character information. An intelligent network server(15) judges whether the call connection holding signal is generated in a termination-side mobile terminal, and controls the transmission of a guidance message when the call connection holding signal is generated. If the guidance message is received from the intelligent network server(15), an ARS(Automatic Response Service) server(17) transmits a call connection holding voice message.
