PURPOSE: A tunnel excavator provided with an auxiliary face plate whose rotational speed is regulable is provided to increase excavation efficiency by crushing obstacles in a face intensively. CONSTITUTION: The tunnel excavator provided with an auxiliary face plate whose rotational speed is regulable contains a cutter head(100) installed rotatively on the front of a body composed of a front body and a tail body, a cutter motor(110) and a cutter reducer(120) installed inward to drive the cutter head(100), an auxiliary face plate(200) installed eccentrically on the front of the cutter head(100), many water jet nozzles installed eccentrically on the front of the auxiliary face plate(200) to jet high pressure water forward, and individual rotation units(310) installed on the auxiliary face plate(200) to rotate by controlling the rotational speed separately from the cutter head(100).
