PURPOSE: A plane optical waveguide interleave device for wavelength division and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to be capable of easily manufacturing the device by using an ultra-thin film filter. CONSTITUTION: A plane optical waveguide interleave device for wavelength division, is provided with a branched input port(16) formed at one end portion, a branched output port(17) formed at the other end portion, an optical waveguide(19) located between the branched input and output port, and a pair of ultra-thin film filters(18) located at both sides of the optical waveguide near the branch points of the branched input and output port. At this time, the output wavelength of an optical signal is capable of being varied according to the reciprocation of the optical signal applied to the optical waveguide, between the ultra-thin film filters.
