PURPOSE: A clampmeter capable of measuring DC(Direct Current) and AC(Alternating Current) is provided to precisely measure the DC and AC by using a sensor transformer circuit. CONSTITUTION: In the device, a pair of modulation coils(W3,W4) which is wound by a pair of core(T1,T2) respectively is connected with each other in series and generates asymmetric magnetic flux due to the magnetic flux of a current measurement coil(W1). A pair of peak detectors(PD1,PD2) detects the output voltage peak values of the modulation coils. The clampmeter further includes a comparator(A4) for outputting the difference between the output voltages of the peak detectors and a feedback coil(W2) magnetically coupled to the modulation coils for receiving the output of the comparator.
