PURPOSE: A device for inputting Korean alphabet codes of a compact keyboard is provided to install vowel/consonant basic keys for inputting one vowel and one consonant, respectively, and to install expletive keys, thereby easily inputting consecutive consonants and complex vowels. CONSTITUTION: A compact Korean alphabet keyboard(70) consists of many vowel/consonant basic keys, an expletive function, and expletive keys operated by one vowel input key. A vowel combiner(11) recognizes one consonant from the vowel/consonant basic keys, or selects at least one consonant from a combination of the vowel/consonant basic keys and the expletive keys while continuously pressing one of the vowel/consonant basic keys. A vowel combiner(15) recognizes one vowel from the vowel/consonant basic keys, or selects one vowel from the combination of the vowel/consonant basic keys and the expletive keys while continuously pressing one of the vowel/consonant basic keys.
