PURPOSE: A mold frame, and a backlight assembly and a liquid crystal display device having the mold frame are provided to incorporate return wires in a mold frame and use a lamp socket for connecting the return wire, thereby making a backlight assembly and an LCD slim. CONSTITUTION: A mold frame includes upper and lower mold frame parts(1200,1100), and first to fourth return wires(1310-1340) buried between the upper and lower mold frames for supplying power voltages to lamps. The lower mold frame has first to fourth side walls(1110-1140), wherein the first side wall has a plurality of receiving spaces(1111-1114). The first to fourth return wires respectively contact the first to fourth receiving spaces, wherein the first and second return wires are extended to the second side wall via the fourth side wall, and the third and fourth return wires are extended to the second side wall via the third side wall. The shape of the receiving spaces corresponds to the shape of lamps. In a backlight assembly, lamps are disposed in the mold frame and the return wires are disposed after mounting a reflecting plate.
