发明名称 METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL WIRE HAVING LESS SURFACE DEFECTS
摘要 PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing austenitic stainless steel wire is provided to reduce content of δ-ferrite to 4% or less by properly controlling heating temperature and time of billet continuously cast in wire heating furnace and decrease surface defects by performing strong reduction at a rolling temperature of 1,100 deg.C or more during wire rolling. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step of directly manufacturing billet by continuously casting austenitic stainless steel comprising 0.08 wt.% or less of C, 0.08 wt.% or less of N, 1.0 wt.% or less of Si, 2.0 wt.% or less of Mn, 17 to 19 wt.% of Cr, 8 to 10 wt.% of Ni and a balance of Fe and other inevitable impurities; a step of heating the obtained billet in a heating rate of 10 to 12 deg.C/min; and a step of rolling the heated billet, wherein the heating step is performed in the temperature range of 1,180 to 1,220 deg.C for 210 to 240 deg.C to maintain 4% or less of δ-ferrite content, and the rough rolled billet is hot rolled in an ordinary manner after rough rolling the heated billet to a reduction ratio of 20 to 25% at a temperature of 1,100 deg.C.
