PURPOSE: Provided is a wastewater treatment apparatus using a composite membrane module, the apparatus being capable of normally treating wastewater even when a membrane of a first module is broken and reducing maintenance cost and time, thereby effectively treating wastewater. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a first module including a first and a second supporting members(22,22a), a plurality of membranes(20) arranged to form a concentric circle and fixed to the first and second supporting members(22,22a) by epoxy at both ends thereof, a diffuser(21) provided in the center of the concentric circle of the membranes(20), wherein the membranes(20) are made by polysulfone, polyethylene, polypropylene or polyacrylonitrile, have effective pore size of 0.005 to 0.5 μm and effective surface area of 1 to 100 m¬2/module; an upper cap(4) having a treated water outlet(41) at an upper end thereof and screw threads at the inner surface thereof, and connected to a back washing water pipe(42) at a side thereof; and a second module(3) with an inner cylinder(31) provided in the upper cap(4), membranes(32) installed in the inner cylinder(31) near the treated water outlet(41).
