<p>An automatic and manual engagement clutch in a vehicle comprising at least one drive wheel, in particular with a constant mesh gearbox, in which the engine is provided with at least one piston (12) housed in a cylinder (11) to rotate a driving shaft (14), a discrete ratio gearbox and a disc clutch (38, 41) interposed between the driving shaft and a primary element (50) of the gearbox, in which with the discs (38, 41) of the clutch there are associated means (46) which when subjected to a centrifugal force with the engine running above a minimum threshold speed determine mutual engagement of the discs (38, 41), positively operated means (27, 28, 29) also being provided for disengaging the discs (38, 41) when the engine is in operation. Between the primary element (50) and the discs (38, 41), the clutch also comprises means which engage the discs on operating the primary element (50) so as to cause the driving shaft (14) to rotate.</p> |
