The partial transmission reflector (60) comprises an optically reflecting structure which has the contour of a symbol (61) serving to provide information. Independent claims are also included for (a) a sensor system with a partial transmission reflector; and (b) an application of a partial transmission reflector for identification of objects, in particular, items of clothing, workpieces, component parts and the like.
