<p>A structure for mounting a shift operation device (11) on a vehicle body comprises a support member (23, 24) having a main part (30) to be fixed to the vehicle body and a molded plastic part (31) to support the shift operation device (11) which is dropped downwardly with the shift operation device (11) when a load larger than that of a predetermined value is applied to the main part (30). Additionally, the main part (30) and the molded plastic part (31) are integrally formed into a single piece configuration, and the shift operation device (11) is mounted on the vehicle body via the support member (23, 24) so that the larger load can break and drop the shift operation device (11).</p> |
