A personalised network service access system has an access unit (30) with a data base (80) containing client service subscription data that use the IP (Internet Protocol) address provided to the database by an authentication unit (60) for client identification to mark (100) data packets from a client terminal (10) in the type of service or option field for routing (90) to servers (1,2, 3) and also records the original field data for reinsertion after service and before passing to the network (50).
