The sewing board consists of three plastic panels with rounded corners, fastened together in a sandwich - a central panel (7) with cross-shaped slits (8), and upper (1) and lower panels having holes (3) aligned with the slits. The fastenings are in the form of dowels (5) that hold the three panels together. During use a plastic implement is employed to push a filament through the holes and slits to make a pattern of stitches.
