The procedure consists of applying or integrating a complex (1) comprising a decorative layer (3) to the inner surface of a protective layer (1) of a transparent or translucent material with a hot flow capacity. In addition, a mesh layer (10), e.g. of glass filaments (11), is applied under the decorative layer and incrusted at least partly in the protective layer by the application of heat and pressure. The decorative layer has a shiny aspect, e.g. with a metallic, mother-of-pearl, rainbow, moire or multi-colored appearance.
